The conservatives agenda will consist of nothing but attempting to spread fear, doubt, more fear, and more doubt about electing a democrat.
Because as we all know the US went to hell in a handbasket last time Clinton was in there for 8 years.

Several other posters have already pointed out why this is a rather silly statement, so I’ll just leave it at that.
As for Jerry Molen, I got the impression that he combined several emails in his inbox, fixed some spelling, changed the ALL-UPPERCASE-LETTERS to normal case usage, and added some of his own musings, sending the result out as a mutant chain email. It’s like Frankenstein’s monster, except made out of poo.

I think that when Obama is elected, he’ll sign any piece of anti-gun legislation that’s handed to him. I think he’ll be signing them so fast, he’ll go through a case of pens. Other than that, those are pretty silly predictions.

Argent, I haven’t heard any discussion on the Left about gun legislation. Even here in Virginia after the Virginia Tech shooting, the action has been mostly in making sure mental heath information is available to the existing gun control process, with AFAIR some tightening up of loop holes at for sales at gun shows. But I haven’t been to a meeting of the Vast Left Wing Conspiracy in a while.

After posting this, I started wondering if I misunderstood your post. (Why does that happen after posting?)
The message I take away from that Obama quote is that every group of people have their wedge issues. Over the last few decades politicians have used every wedge issue they can get their hands on to manipulate the electorate, for no more noble purpose than attaining and maintaining personal power. And oftentimes personal wealth. All while making no serious attempt to deal with the wedge issues they were elected to address.
One of my hopes for the this election is that perhaps at last a politician or two have moved past the rabid attack dog politics endemic in presidencies over my lifetime. (And I got an AARP card in the mail the other day!) The McCain/Obama election could actually be about issues, not trivia.

GusNSpot, it’s been three years almost to the day, and my quick review of the list in your OP has your friend at 0 for 10. The earth is still in its orbit, and our great republic survives. Also, the economy, while still very rocky, is on the mend, and Osama bin Laden is dead on Obama’s order. DigitalC is arguably 1 out of 6 for his list, and he was just joking. (Although it is as good an explanation for Obama’s Peace Prize as any.)
Not that I’m 100% happy with the Obama administration, but your friend’s gloom and doom fantasy did not even come close to occurring.

Yeah, Obama has the whole weekend to destroy America. Heck, I’ve used a weekend to learn three months of unstudied schoolwork in time to pass a final exam.
