Yes, I appreciate it too. Thanks!
Another thank you!
…and another thank you here and an apology for taking you for granted: I no longer bother checking any of the official sites for numbers, I just check this thread daily instead. That’s how good of a job @Snowboarder_Bo is doing, thank you for keeping us all updated.
Hi Bo - here’s someone else who checks in every day. Thanks for your efforts.

Same here.
Ditto, Bo! Thank you!
Good! I wish you the best of luck with your natural quarantine.
That didn’t take long.
Previously public data has already disappeared from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s website after the Trump administration quietly shifted control of the information to the Department of Health and Human Services.
Since the pandemic began, the CDC has regularly published data on availability of hospital beds and intensive care units across the country. But when Ryan Panchadsaram, who helps run a data-tracking site called Covid Exit Strategy, said he tried to collect the data from the CDC on Tuesday, it disappeared.
“We were surprised because the modules that we normally go to were empty. The data wasn’t available and not there,” he said. “There was no warning.”
No shit. The goal is to stop testing, report or massage data for better numbers for the ‘President’ so he can be re-elected. Those that become destitute or die should have had a ‘better’ job.
After all, the Doctors researchers and data analysts at the CDC are just being mean to him.
Unfortunately (or fortunately) wife and I are headed to Georgia tonight. Birth of our next granddaughter coming in 3 weeks. We fully intend to stay in the house or yard for the next 14 days at least. Georgia is a considerably hotter spot (virus and weather) than Hawaii.
I wanted to thank you as well, Bo. This is the main way I’ve kept track of the extent of the pandemic over the last four months. I check your stats every day.
So even the trusty Worldometer looks a little fudged right now due to the CDC data thingy. Texas only has 230 new cases. Wow. Great improvement since yesterday’s 12,000+ !!
No, that will go up, they seem to submit their data as and when it is gathered rather than collect and disseminate in one report.
Brazil does the same.
Aye; let’s wait until the day closes at WoM before we get twisted.
Yeah, I misread the clock. They’ve got 7,000+ south of the panhandle now.
I want to thank you too, @Snowboarder Bo. Ever since r/worldnews got rid of the corona megathread with the Worldometers link, your stats are how I stay abreast of the death toll.

I don’t look at the international numbers, mostly the ones for Switzerland (where I live). Thank you @Snowboarder_Bo for doing this challenging task and putting the numbers in black and white. Just the facts.

By tomorrow, there will be over 600,000 people killed by this coronavirus.
By the end of next week, the US will have over 150,000 dead, nearly 25% of the worldwide total deaths.
Today was the second day in a row that saw a record increase for the US with 74,987 new cases.
I didn’t notice it until an AP article brought it to my attention, but Mexico has now surpassed Italy and has the 4th highest death toll of any nation with over 38,000 deceased.
