Correlation between depression and presence of loving significant other

The lawyers around here don’t let posters post bullshit about the law without correcting them. The Doper medical professionals will also tear into someone who posts medical nonsense. Why? Because they are self-respecting. They don’t want someone making a mockery of their professions and potentially misinforming people.

Why shouldn’t scientists be just as serious about what they know?

Hear, hear. Well, said.

Any scientist seeing the results of this poll, and concluding that the two variables (however vaguely defined) are independent, is not worth his/her salt.

I’m not sure that I understand the poll, or rather the purpose of it. I guess one one would feel depressed if he/she loved someone greatly but was not with that person.

Not to Polerius for mocking the poll and questioning its validity. I’d do that again in a heartbeat.

I’d like to apologize for this

This depicts my significant other as a domineering, psycho beast who keeps me in a relationship against my will.

In reality, she is intelligent, caring, and giving and I am lucky to have her.
Sorry, honey.

She make you say that?

It seems that people’s feelings can change so easily, like with Doc Cathode. One minute you feel trapped, the next minute you appreciate what you have. So, my conclusion is that one can be depressive one day and be happy the next. Life, I guess.
