Sure! The corset is under the green gown I’m wearing. I made the gown and the corset.

Sadly, this dress and corset stays on the hanger most of the time these days. I’ve lost weight, and the lacings won’t lace tight enough. I managed another year out of the corset by taking it in 4 inches, but after that, anymore alterations and it would be all wonky.
I’m working on a new red dress, though I may let a good friend of mine make the corset.

Yep, you are right. A corset is underwear, a bodice (or jerkin for men) is outerwear. Although if it’s a costume, who cares, unless you’re in a museum or theater piece. Wear what’s cute!
