Cosmetic surgery of the future that you look forward to.

I am sure that as soon as genetic engineering allows it, Japan is going to have an entire generation of girls with “naturally” purple hair.

I look forward to that day.

When they can revert a woman’s body to the way it looked before childbirth with just a push of a button.

[sub]Stupid strechmarks, grumble grumble. [/sub]

Hair replacement. Instead of fine, straight, flyaway plain brown hair, I shall have thick, wavy auburn hair.

OK Guin, I’ll trade my hair for your body…

I’ll get a 9" penis.

(And believe me, I won’t miss those extra 3" one bit.)

[Grinny here.]

Prehensile tail.

Man, I want one sooooo bad I can feel it.

And you can use it to feel others.
Man, this will open up whole new worlds in pornography.

Fake skin that has a subsurface display so you can program in moving tattoos.

Designer eyes.

Zoom lens eyes. I want a centering reticule and the ability to zoom in 10x. But I’d settle for Derleth’s crawling tattoos.

I also think it would be cool if you could get elf ears.
Liv tyler fanboy -sigh-

Have you read Cryptonomicon by Neal Stephenson?
I’d go for that.

I’d also like to have hands like a gecko. I think they’re kinda neat. And squishy.

Ack. I think I meant Diamond Age by Neal Stephenson.

Oh well.
Still want gecko hands.
bah.

I wouldn’t mind longer legs - to balance my long torso. Otherwise, I second the bit about the tail - as long as it’s catlike.

I’d like to have some gills. The ability to breathe out of water and underwater would be great!

I haven’t read either of those books, XJETGIRLX. I came up with that idea on my own. Did someone mirror my thoughts?

It’s been done already.

Sign up to have you femers and tibias broken on purpose, then separated with metal brackets. Every time the bone grows close to closing the full break, you go back to the doc and they pull the bones apart slightly. Repeat this process until you have several new inches of bone growth and legs that are several inches longer.

A real way to quickly eliminate body hair. That’d be my vote for cosmetic surgery. There are processes now, but none are very efficient.

Wanna trade?

Of course, expect the process to go slowly and abstain from hard work. Bone fractures take longer to heal than other types of injuries. Also be aware the bone may grow where you don’t want it to grow. Otherwise, good technique unless I forgot something.

Yeah, Neal Stephenson writes about all sorts of futuristic, technology related stuff. One of the characters in one of his books is a woman with tattoos he describes as being like the lighted billboards in times square. It’s all due to nanotechnology, wich Diamond Age is all about.

From the book:
“A young woman was here, standing before one of the poles with her hands clasped behind her back, which would have given her an endearingly prim appearance if she had not been stark naked and covered with constantly shifting mediatronic tattoos.”

A brief bio of Neal Stephenson can be found here

If you’re going to pick up one of his books though, start with Snow Crash

Cheers!
