I get it now. ZPGZealot suffered some (probably imagined) trauma as a child and thus now she wants other children to suffer. There can be no other rational explanation for why she wants a child, say a foundling, to be constantly reminded that the child is somehow different from other children in the house and thus somehow defective.
Oops. I forgot for a moment we’re not dealing with a rational person.
But you see, to her, blood is the only connection that counts. Since she is incapable of understanding human bonding and emotions, all other forms of loving relationships that cannot explained in stark genetic terms - a relationship with an adopted child, with a spouse, with a close friend, with a comrade in arms - are inexplicable to her, and therefore do not exist. It’s fascinating.
I wonder whether she thinks of other people - children in particular - as actual human beings. I don’t think she does. I think she sees them as objects.
What I don’t get is how women are constantly terribly victimized by horrible near-rapist men and she regrets not stabbing these men, they are so horrifying, but men are constantly victimized by weasel women getting pregnant and ought to shoot them.
I guess that’s one way to achieve zero population growth. Just start killing people. Forced abortions for some, tiny handrapist stabbings for others!

If you are old enough to have sex you are old enough to be aware of the consequences. If you are so afraid of supporting a child, I would recommend a reliable form of birth control.

If the father had only thought first the whole problem would have been avoided. Some mistakes are expensive. Now I actually agree that the mother has no right to demand to be supported by a man in this situation. The child is indeed family to the man. He is obligated. Even if he really really regrets ejaculating into a woman’s vagina it does not mean it was an accident. I would recommend that in the future he have some self control, some discretion, and just to be on the safe side, since he clearly can not wrap his little head around birth control, maybe try to stick to blowjobs.
I have a question for you, ZPG. If I agree with you that this man can demand this woman have an abortion, against her wishes, do you think it is fair to demand he has a vasectomy? That way he will not have another mistake. Clearly he is incapable of handling his sex life responsibly, wouldn’t you agree?

Nah, it’s just biology. Like I said, I sympathise with men put in the position of being at the very least financially responsible for a child they didn’t want, but life is just not fair sometimes.
Except, oddly, the blood connection between a father and his unintended biological offspring. It’s fine for them to be removed from half of their genetic ‘community.’ Or killed, of course, or their mothers killed. Murder is far less of an evil than child support.
I don’t see any sexual irresponsibility here. The only way he would be obligated to this woman for anything would be if he made a contract with her. Fucking someone isn’t a contract. It’s just sex. Safe, legal abortion exists to correct mistakes like unintended pregnancy. Anyone who doesn’t want to deal with the possibility of occasionally having to use it when birth control fails, shouldn’t be having sex with a partner capable of getting them pregnant.
Unintended is not the same as unwanted.
Child support exists for the benefit of the child. It is not punishment for the noncustodial parent. It is irrelevant what the original desires of the parents are- child support is to insure that the child is economically cared for.
For someone who claims that children are at the heart of their society, why you would put any adult’s wants before the health and well being of a child is patently contradictory.

Look, I’ll put this into words you can understand. If a guy is fucking a girl and his little spermies meet up with her little eggies, sometimes a little baby results. Guess what, that guy is now a father. Genetically he is a part of the new biological ‘family’ made up of mother, father, and child. Now, that family unit may not actually be together and may not act as a ‘family’ in the sense of providing support or love to each other, and he may not act as a dad to the kid, but sure as shit he is a father.
So I’m afraid fucking can in fact make someone family. More accurately it can make a new family member. Nobody’s arguing that the guy is responsible for supporting the woman, they’re saying he’s responsible supporting his child.
I agree that safe, legal abortion should be freely available to those who wish to terminate an accidental pregnancy. But surely you realize that just the existence of abortion doesn’t mean a women isn’t taking on risk when sexually active. Procuring an abortion can be difficult, expensive, and (as I understand it) painful. So you think the woman should take on absolutely all the consequences of sex and the man should just walk away free and easy, with no worries at all. Not their problem, right? That nasty business is for the ladies to deal with.

I think it may have something to do with her fortunetelling career. Like many con artists, ZPG divides the world into two groups, “our people” (in her case, blood relatives) and “marks”. People who can’t be clearly defined, like adoptees (who are family, but aren’t blood) and illegitimate children (who are blood, but are raised outside the family), confuse and anger her.
