I’d be happy to bring along a decent CD boombox (it needs AC power), but my library doesn’t include belly dancing music, unless you can suggest any suitable 60s/70s classic rock?
I’ve always had a scholarly interest in erotic dancing. 
Oh, I can bring a tape - maybe a cd if I get a burner next weekend.
However, as far as 60s/70s classic rock, I’ve danced to “Norwegian Wood” (Beatles, of course) and “Kashmir” by Led Zeppelin.
No witty comments or anything. Just confirming my attendance. And that I still have dibs on tattva. And that she seems okay with it.
I DO have Norwegian Wood. I will bring a boom box (does not play cassettes) and Beatles.

If you can’t get a “set” burned, there won’t be much DJing for me to do. The CD player has a “repeat” function.

I can’t believe I missed it, though my personal wood is 3/4 Irish.
I am most likely coming. My parents just announced they are visiting that week, but they will be gone by Friday (I think).
I do not have a single outfit that lets my boobs hang out (much to Mr. Cranky’s chagrin) but I’ll see what I can do. Even if they aren’t hanging out, they will be with me as they seem to go wherever I go.
I’m probably going to be Magdalene’s sidekick all weekend, so I’ll get info, etc, from her.
I think my train gets in at 9:30 so I’ll just hook up with y’all somewhere. Or maybe I’ll take an earlier train. Choices, choices.

Crap, now I’m a “no.” I’ve checked my calendar and discovered that I indeed have a prior engagement that weekend (including “Lord of the Dance” tickets for that Sunday. Flatley calls!).

Okay. From what I can tell, Persephone is showing up at O’Hare a little bit after 12:00pm. I am (theoretically; Travelocity can bite my butt) showing up around 1:00. Jadis is showing up around 3:30.
I know Jadis already asked if a friendly face can be present, and I’m more than willing to hang out at the airport for a couple of hours; it’s not like I’ve never killed two hours in an airport. The company of Persephone would make this much easier, but I know she’s probably aching to get into the city and shake her groove thang.
I have NO idea when I’m leaving the airport or how I’m getting anywhere, though easy and inexpensive suggestions have been made.
Any ideas? Suggestions? Tips on achieving world peace? I’m all ears.
Does anyone know whether the Doubletree has a bar where people can hang out Friday afternoon, and hook up with other folks?
Yes, yes!! Friendly faces are good!! Hamadryad and Persephone and whomever else I can coerce into meeting me can count on a drink or two on me when we get to wherever we’re going. Yay!! Goldschlager!! w00t!!
