I will say this for Courtney- when Kurt killed himself, I said she’d be joining him in about five years. She’s beat me by five (?), so she may well get through this.
I’d say she was simply wasted on heroin or oxycontin and suffering from a mental breakdown. I guess there’s some question as to whether or not the abortion thing happened at all. The reports seem to indicate she was brought in because she was behaving erratically and might be a danger to herself. My suspicion is this “gynecological” problem crap is A) P.R., and B) An excuse to keep her out of California, where she is probably going to get the book thrown at her.
It would do her some good, IMO, to cool her heels in the pen for a year or so. Her image couldn’t get much more trashy, so a long prison stay could hardly dim her star among the faithful Courtney fans. It might even win her some new ones, what with the added street cred such a record bestows. It’s force her to clean up; and I hesitate to say it, but if anybody needed a good ass-kicking at this point, it’s her. Maybe some burly female prison-mate will get annoyed enough with her attitude to lay her out once or twice, doing her and the rest of us a service, if you ask me.
And a few have not.
