Neil Young sang that, didn’t he? Didn’t he?! :dubious:
I want to hear Howlin’ Wolf cover Hendrix’s Spanish Castle Magic.
The gist is that Pablo Picasso never got called an asshole.
I don’t have a specific artist, but I always wanted to hear a same-sex version of “A Whole New World” from Aladdin - so instead of soprano & tenor, it would be tenor & baritone or soprano & alto.
And the arrangement that’s in the movie, rather than the schmaltzfest that is the Celine Dione/Peabo Bryson “commercial” version.
I always wanted to hear a hard rock version of “The Letter” by the Boxtops.
Okay. But of course James has to know the song in order to cover it.
God bless you and him always!!!

Perhaps he could do a cover of The Long Black Veil instead. I could dig it.
Nifty thread idea. Unexpected covers are often the best–see, e.g., Edge of Sanity’s fairly orthodox take on Invisible Sun or Jill Tracy’s (Variations on) Paint it Black.
ETA: Gah! I was trying to think of a thing, and now I have. Unexpected covers are often the best: Who would expect this cover of Bad Religion’s “Better Off Dead” from doom metallers Anathema? Same music, same lyrics… completely different emotion.
James is six foot five so what do you mean by this?
God bless you and him always!!!
