My sister lives in a house that’s less than a mile from my mother’s. I don’t think that would work for me. Although I can certainly appreciate the convenience of being able to walk from one house to the other, I think I would want at least a couple of extra miles of distance from Mom just so I could not feel like we were tripping over each other all the time.
