I agree with you on the “mad” but I’m not convinced of the “genius.”
I’d seen the Britney Spears one, bu the They Might Be Giants was classic!
Thanks for posting this! Clearly, the man has so much creative freedom because he’s on so late. No one at CBS is even watching his show!
May I add:
I only watched the Istanbul one, but it seems to me like he’s not really enjoying himself, just doing the skit. That takes a lot out of the enjoyment for me. Shame, too, because I can totally identify with this.
I sorta see what you mean, Bosstone, but I don’t think it’s true. I suspect he had to focus on the teleprompter more on this one than on others, because the words go by so fast. But it’s as good as the others, and I think he’s still having fun with them.
*Wonderful Night *is my favorite. I’d never heard the song before I saw it on Craig.
What, you mean there’s people that don’t know that song by heart?
Wow, I think he’s in heaven. I’m surprised anyone would see it that way. He loves doing those.
YES! I thought that was brilliant, but it wasn’t on the CBS website.
Yeah, he makes me laugh and is more talented IMO than Conan, but these didn’t do it for me. (Only watched the Britney parody.)
The puppet choruses always kill me on these. Adds an extra layer of surreal to it.
I just watched this one, and yes, he’s having lots of fun with it. Looks like it was just a fluke with Istanbul.
Watch the Britney Spears one, too. It’s probably the best one.
It cracks me up everytime he uses the puppets.
There are people that like puppets and then there are people who are wrong for not liking them.
Speaking of surreal, Henry Cho was on last night. I hadn’t seen him before, and hearing that accent come out of his face is, well, surreal.
I’ve seen him on Comedy Central. He often makes me laugh.
The first one I saw of Craig’s dancing routine was this one.
Yes, Cho is hilarious. He’s spent his whole life having to tell people, “No, really. That’s my accent.”
I love that the shark is wearing a turban and the dinosaur is wearing a fez in the “Istanbul” skit.
Craig is the only late-night dude we bother recording and watching. I love him very, very much. It cracks me up when he cracks himself up, and also when he goes off on a rant on stuff. I also like the little guy in the leather shorts. And when Craig’s fake teeth fall out when parodying Prince Charles.
