crater in skin left of left eye

I noticed it a few weeks ago but didn’t think much of it until I applied hydrogen peroxide to the general area and felt a sting there.

It’s about the size of a standard qtip head.

I suffered a minor skin cut to the left of my left eyebrow a few weeks ago, from a metal cylindrical object. That cut is about half an inch north of the crater.

If the cylindrical object’s circumference (to refer to that circle part at either base, not the distance) came into contact with that area, could it have caused both a minor skin cut and a skin crater, the latter of which produced no bleeding?

Otherwise, what could it be and how might I have obtained it?

I was looking for more dire causes before you mentioned that injury. They certainly must be related. That’s a very sensitive area and impacts can cause delayed changes. I have had many surgeries in that general area. One time after surgery everything looked great for a few weeks. Then a similar crater developed and needed more work. Depending on how critical appearance is to you then get it looked at soon. Same if it’s withing half an inch of the eye itself.
