Crazy Cats. Do they actually trip?

We see movements at I believe around 70 hz (well actually it’s more complex than that, our rod cells refresh at around that rate but our cone cells are slower) where as cats, according to the one who whispers to them, see it more. So just think about different frame rates on movies and the consequences - cats will see more qucik stuff as it happens, things will be less blurry for them, they can keep track of movement better, that kind of thing…

Well, you can just *rock *me to sleep tonight.

Krazy Kats are usually just looking for Ignatz.

Yup, that’s what I meant. A good example would be a fly - we can’t follow their motion with our eyes because it’s too fast, but cats can.

Eh, I don’t know about this. I can have something in my hand that the cat wants. If I throw it, that cat(s) have no clue where it went. Unlike the dogs. Heck, there have been numerous times I have set a kitty treat on the kitchen counter only to have the over excited kitty miss it because he’s still following me as I’m reaching over to give the other cat his treat. I’m like: Dummy, yours is over there!

As to the OP: Yeah, my cats often do this thing that looks like there’s an imaginary fly buzzing around their head. And always think: What the hell are you looking at?!

Zombie Cats would be a good band name.

When our kitten is freaking out and doing crazy things, chances are he’s chasing a moth that is out of our sight.

Your cat has a stupid. (So does one of mine.)

OTOH, we used to have a cat (Siamese) that would play catch and retrieve a tossed plaything.
