Creation Science page, real or hoax?

I was led to this site while browsing Popular Science’s web site. The question? Is it a real “Creation Science” site or is it a hoax (satire)?

Here is a couple of quotes from the page in question:

In regards to the evolution of the eye:

::snicker::

Ahem.

Here’s a quote from a “creation science” project completed by a youth:

My vote? Satire. The wording is too … particular IMO for it to be anything else. At least… I sure hope it’s satire.

Hoax.

Technically speaking, aren’t all Creation Science pages hoaxes? :wink:

As to whether they’re sincere or not, a brief visit leaves me undecided. They don’t appear too fond of Landover Baptist, but I suppose that could be camouflage.

I’m not Christian, and I don’t know this: is triclavianism an issue in Christian theology?

That’s a hoax. It’s actually done by the Landover Baptist people. They set up a seemingly ultra-fundie site devoted to wiping out Landover Baptist. That Creation Science Fair page is hysterical.

The link doesn’t work for me - I get sent to a site called paysforsurveys.com

Near as I’ve been able to piece together, the original Landover Baptist site has been under some legal pressure from Jerry Falwell and others, trying to shut it down because it improperly uses the term “Baptist”. Our ever-resourceful friends at Landover Baptist have decided to relocate, and in the process satirize the attack on their satire. The Progress Section has some relevant links.

I love the new merchandise. Perhaps I’ll get a “Ruby Matrimony Thong” for the wife next Valentine’s Day.

There are, by the way, some real Creation Science Fair pages out there…

I was unsure that it was satire until I clicked on this link on their page:

Now I’m sure.
