Following on from the hopeless performance by Zimbabwe in the recent tests, I have been wondering if it is possible to lose test staus, for purely sporting reasons. South Africa lost this status but that was hardly based on inability.
So could Zimbabwe and Bangldesh (total basket cases) lose this status? I fail to see what advantage there is in putting county level or lower teams up against the major cricketting nations. It damages the sport and can hardly be much fun for the team getting walloped.
Is there anyone from these countries who thinks diffrently?
Maybe a second division with Kenya; Zim and Bangladesh? With a play off system and the winner gets a test?
