Nothing against Australia but India v Pakistan for a place in the World Cup Final would be such an enormous game, I’d like to see how the players involved coped with the pressure. I think Australia will win - but I would like to see India do it.

That Windies game - I think that is what is known as a pasting.

South Africa and Sri Lanka in the other semi. New Zealand aren’t good enough to beat RSA and this has to be a bridge to far for this England team you’d think (given England’s tournament thus far it will probably go to the last ball though - just for a change).

I heard Yardy has gone home because he is sad or something. The loss to Ireland wasn’t that bad.

Ponting should have been out in the 90’s- however India had used all their referrals. Good stuff.

The score is probably above a pass mark on the slowish pitch. India do have a powerful batting line up so it will be a long night.

Good of Ricky to wait until post-Ashes to get his runs. Very sporting.

I suspect that this game is going to be very tight in the end. Likely the key wickets are Sehwag and Tendulkar. Get them cheaply and Australia will be in the box seat. If either of them gets a biggish score, then Oz have problems.

Yes- it is a score that doesn’t lock India out , or make them across the line to get.

That being said, I would have liked Australia to get another 50 runs.

Tendulkar seems a bit becalmed at the moment with India 50/1 after 10 overs. I guess we’ll soon see whether that’s troubling for India, or just the calm before the storm.

Australia needs to get Tendulkar and right soon. If he’s still around with 10-15 overs left, Australia will almost certainly lose.

I really think India at the moment unless Australia can nail Gambhir quickly. A few other wickets would help as well of course.

Yep - my original prognosis of this one being very tight, seems like it is going to come true. India have really turned it around in a short space of time.
