I forgot these tights, in yellow.
Also, it seems people are pretty divided on the leggings. I am not a fan of leggings, but the bronze color really struck me. I wish they had been tights, but oh well.

OMG. Roomie, is that you?
I could never pull off those tights, but they look kinda cool.
I like everything except the shoes. They are fug.
I know this is probably a wasted comment, but wtf on the shoes? They look like what I will like when I am 65. (I’m 35.) Interesting, since your other choices seem so brave and youthful (and I like all of the other stuff, by the way) and that one just screams Medicare. Hmm.
Hate the shoes, sorry. They look like old lady shoes.
The shoes are whatever, but the weird socks are abominations unto Og. Og smash!
The shoes…eh. I don’t know, I’m a little wary of shoes with ankle straps, being short myself–they have kind of a shortening effect.
Dang, all the hating on my shoes…it’s ok, I love them.
A legwarmer?
The dress is okay, the shoes are at least on the cute side of orthopedic, if one must go orthopedic, but the leggings and the socks make the baby Jesus cry.
Of course, I’m an old lady (not old enough for those shoes, but pretty old), so make of that what you will.
The dress is cute and will look great with opaque tights and silver pumps.
The shoes I don’t really like, but I could see them working with a vintage dress.
However, the footless sock thing is an abomination.
You mean those pics weren’t her…?
hum…my old lady thought was “gee, college kids are now dressing like 58 year old Vegas slot bimbos? Bet that is a much cuter look when you are 20.”
(I’m not old enough for those shoes either.)
It all looks real cute for a girl your age.
I wouldn’t choose that stuff for myself, but I’m an old broad. I could see my (almost) 21 year old daughter wearing those things and looking adorable.
I could work with that.
Personal opinion on the leggings: they’re grotesque. But that’s just me. I’m sure you’ll look just fine!
I adore the dress, like the leggings (I bought a pair of the gold leggings from American Apparel and totally rocked them for Carnaval), not totally wild about the footless socks but they look fun.
I don’t mind the shoes. They’re not my style but I think on a younger woman, the lower heel is more youthful and appropriate than high heels and wedges are always comfortable. T-bar straps can make the leg look chunky so I’m always careful with them. I’d prefer a more open shoe (maybe soemthing like this) but I get the retro look you’re going for.
Today’s outfit, featuring the footless socks (over tights) and the old lady shoes.
Warning, viciousness within.
[spoiler]My girlfriend is having trouble forming words, so great is the horror induced by those shoes. Old ladies might wear them, but that’s only because the cataracts make it so they can’t really see their feet anyway. After a certain point in your life (senescence) you settle into a state where you figure if you can’t see your shoes, no one else can either.
The disco ball dress is fabulous if the look you are going for is disco ball. You know: shiny, round, usually found at low rent dance clubs. Also it looks like something you would buy in a big plastic bag at a costume shop in the last week of October. They would have a picture of that exact girl on the outside and the costume would be called “Disco Diva”. It comes with a little piece of plastic that, if you squint (or, you know, cataracts) looks kind of like a rolled up hundred dollar bill. You pretend to snort cocaine through it. You are a wild and crazy girl!
Footless socks could work, if worn correctly. She says “in certain circumstances.” I was thinking “in the dark.”
We are your contemporaries. We are not old. We are college students. If we saw you on campus, we would run. And then we would blog about you. Maybe that’s what you were going for. Is this a cry for help?

We have an American Apparel in Santa Barbara. I was pretty sure it was a drug front. They sell leotards…
