Your Clothes--Fab or Fug?

I’ve given you guys an opportunity to critique my clothes. I think it’s only fair that you should share a few of your favorite clothing items and let other Dopers decide: Fab…or Fug?

Fair is fair, and I would, but I’ve nothing online.

Sounds fun. One pair of strappy closed toed sandals, coming right up.

In the meantime, I have this shirt which I think is pretty cool.

Shoes, as promised.

They have an ankle strap, but gf has pretty nice ankles. Also, they make toe cleavage. I’m a fan of cleaves where ever they may be found.

I’m confused, Tenebras. So those are your girlfriend’s shoes, and you are of the sterner sex, yes?

The shoes are cute. I’d prefer them with a bit of heel.

The shirt looks like something a certain kind of person can pull off. I can think of ONE guy out of my friends that would be able to do so.

I would post something, but I don’t think I have any pictures of me that show off my clothes. I’ll poke around a bit.

I have some fab T-shirts and some really fug jeans, and some… er… strange (diplomatically speaking) socks.

On balance, I’m fabulously fug.

Yeah. She’s a girl and I’m a boy.

My comments in the previous thread were a joint effort, so it only seemed fair that we should both contribute to this version. A sort of auto auto-de-fey, if you will.

We live in Santa Barbara. It’s beachy here and heels are almost never appropriate.

Tenebras - The shoes are still cute without heels. I just walk funny in flats for some reason.

I found a pic of some shoes I bought about a year ago.

And a hat I bought this winter.

I didn’t keep these shoes because they didn’t fit properly, but I did love them a lot. So much I almost kept them despite the fact they cut off circulation to my toes.

Here is a pic of me in my victorian attire. I dearly love my vest which I sewed all the buttons on myself. PICTURE

Not lovin’ the hat, but the round toe shoes are cute. I don’t really like pointy toes shoes, either.

Dude, that’s awesome. I want to invite you to my parties so we can drink wine and snigger about Edgar Allan Poe.

AcidLamp, whoa! That is one fine vest. I’m impressed!

Hazel I’m not wild about the hat either, but those killer shoes are - hella kewl. Too bad they hurt. :frowning:

Tenebras Y’alls stuff is neat. The shoes’ pattern is a bit busy, but they’d work.

Here’s two outfits for y’all to critique. Casual and Work. I love this black skirt - it has a pleated hem, it’s hard to see in the photo. And those brown flats - I have a pair in black as well. I love love love them. But I think they are fug. :stuck_out_tongue:

Probably my most questionable item, but they are comfy and fun. Shoes!

Susan

AAAAAAHHHH!!
:stuck_out_tongue:
I’d never get away with that - but the price is right, I tell ya.

You win at life for properly using the word “snigger”. Next time I visit canadia you’re on.

Do accessories count? I have a brass and warthog ivory tusk walking stick I made that is quite impressive.

I like the hat. It’s kinda 1920’s but not in a costume or Death Ray way.

These shoes in black to go with white capris and a black blouse. Normal weekend attire is a variation of this, mostly in conservative flats, but gosh I love those others. Wet Seal is really too young for me, but I have an abnormal fondness for high heels, and they have some nice ones sometimes.

Yup, pretty boring.

Hazel I love the hat. Love it.

Here is my splurge at Christmas. Yes the Nike Air technology really does make a difference. I was shocked (and poorer after buying them).

I don’t think my clothes are either Fab or Fug – they’re mostly straight-laced and boring. I don’t think there’s anything superior about being yawn-inducing instead of a risk-taker, BTW. But since you’ve asked: Typical for me would be a pair of flare-leg dark-blue jeans with these shoes and this tunic top, with a choker necklace and stacked silver bangles. IOW, nothing to draw stares in either a positive or a negative way. But that’s what I prefer; I’m not really comfortable with a high level of attention.
