Cross-posting on different boards or LJ

I have just confused myself. As far as cross-posting to different boards and/or LJ, is it okay if the original author does so?

I’m asking because I have a brand new Live Journal, and just for the sake of having a bit of content, until I can knuckle down and write some fresh stuff, I wanted to stick a version of my Snowball post on my LJ. Just so my new LJ doesn’t look abandoned.

I know it’s naughty to quote OPs and posts that are not your own and put them elsewhere (very wrong), but I’m okay with one of my own posts, right?

Oh, and yes, I do have fresh stuff coming, but I have to finish editing it.
