I will be taking my first combo treatment for Hep C on Monday.
For at least the next six months, (maybe longer, who knows) I will be taking an extra 6 pills a day along with 3 shots a week ( in my stomach. Yuck ! ).
Please send any extra prayers, good thoughts ect… my way if you get the chance, that my blood counts won’t drop badly and there will be no other side effects bad enough to make me have to stop treatment early.
I feel really good about this, the geno-type of Hep C I have responds well to treatment and lots of 3 A’s (my geno type) have had a sustained remission time, up to 2 years thus far.
how strange is this? I just posted to your other thread about parents/school starting, popped in at the web site in your sig line, saw the Hep C reference.
On Monday, I posted a pit threat “those blood sucking” (no need to check it out, the pertinant info is here). The reason my son and I had to get the blood tests is that his dad was diagnosed with Hep C recently, tho the Hep non specified dated back to when we were together (15 years ago). I’ll know Monday.
Wring, I will be praying the test are negative ! Neither the LIONsob (hubby) nor son have it. They are pretty sure it can’t be passed sexually, if it were I know the LIONsob would have it. The disease is pretty much blood to blood transferred, of course it doesn’t take much blood.
Best of luck to you, Ayesha! I’ll be thinking of you…when I’m not staring in to space, wondering just what Chief would look like with his dicks crossed…

There ya go. Dylan just rushed off to work… she promises to write when she gets back. Sincerest best wishes and congrats in advance for maintaining your health.
Secondly;
Welcome back, it really hasn’t been the same without you. (Don’t forget, I’ve never known a SDMB without Ayesha)
And in a totally unrelated snippit of updatedness and interesting things, Bill(MB) just left this morning - he was here for a visit.
