Dunno if any here have tried it yet or not but if not you should give Crossout a look.
In short it is a F2P team game where you drive a truck with weapons on it and shoot the other team in various game modes with some daily missions and raids and stuff thrown in. Think Mad Max style car combat.
The other part of the game is designing your own truck. As you play you get various parts which you can use to improve your truck. You pick the cab and frame and weapons and armor and the result is usually a slapdash looking affair ala Mad Max. Over time you collect or buy better stuff and improve your truck.
The best part is it seems physics based (to an extent) so making modifications to your truck changes how it performs. Also, each piece can be shot off individually so shooting can be tactical (do you shoot out the tires or shoot off the guns?).
The game is still in beta but seems to be working pretty well right now (I have had no problems with it). Also, as a F2P game, it has microtransactions. Ordinarily I steer way clear of F2P games but this one is not too bad. You can grind your way to better stuff or you can buy better stuff but better stuff makes your truck worth more points and you are put on teams with trucks in the same point range as you so it is not pay-to-win.
Also, you can sell things you pick up on the in game market to make in-game currency to buy other stuff. I spent $2.99 for a promotion pack for in-game currency which helps in a few ways and consider it money well spent.
Each match is maybe 5-10 minutes long so the game is good for a few quick rounds of fun without being committed to a long session.
Overall I am having a blast. Anyone else here playing it or interested?
