Crossword Clue Game

A lot of good entries. But my favourite was by Wheelz with “Command from a toddler with raised arms”. Nicely done! You are UP next!

Thanks, Dr Paprika! I enjoyed that one, if I do say so myself.

A question of order, as this is my first win: Do I pick the next winner, or is that Spoons’s prerogative? I’ve seen it both ways in this thread.

Okay, it’s been about a day, and I have to get to work, so here goes.

Some faves:

I was hoping somebody would think of Pepper Potts, one of my favorite MCU names. I did not think of Pepper Martin. I should have. Nice.

Of the Sergeant Pepper references, I like this one best (despite the misspelling ).

And the winner, because a) I didn’t get it at first and b) it would have made for the most diabolical clue in an actual crossword puzzle:

Next!

Time’s up! First, a couple of favourites:

And the winner is Dr. Paprika, with this:

Congratulations, Doctor, and give us our next word.

I really liked the Wheelz one that Spoons highlighted.

The next word should give you a lot of options. The word is GOOD. (What’s the good word?)

Thank you!
After I posted, I wanted to revise it, though: “Before Crown, a soft drink; after Crown, a hard one.” (I don’t think that’s allowed.)

Like I said, it was one of my favourites. And a revision would have been fine, as long as it was just a change in wording, and not a totally new or different clue.
