You’ve spent time near Boston, have you?
I don’t understand what you mean.
Boston has a local drink they call a frappe.
Ah. Been quite a while since last in Boston, and did not know that. Is it really unique to Boston? Coffee drinks are a thing in lots of places. Was really just trying to alliterate.
A frappe is a type of milkshake in Boston.
Your clue answer is great as is.
Of course the clue is fine as is, I was merely fondly remembering my first experiences as a born and raised Iowan ordering a milkshake in Boston and getting puzzled looks, then, after explaining, “oh, a frappe!”. This would have been in the ‘70s, long before coffee drinks with degrees of frothiness.
Sorry, I was just trying to join in the fun. Kinda lonely where I am. I’ll stay in my lane in the future so as to not interrupt the flow.
Bowing out now…
And impressive alliteration it was.
I speak only for myself, but I think there’s nothing wrong with conversation outside the game here. And @BippityBoppityBoo , I hope you stick around.
Again, lots of clever folks here. First, a couple runners-up:
I thought of that quote, but wouldn’t have found a way to word the clue that wasn’t terribly clunky.
If I were playing this round, one of my entries would have been “Got it?” I like your take on that ad campaign too.
One of my favorite candies as a kid!
And the winner is:
This raised a smile, and if I didn’t already know the word, would have been a nice head-scratcher of a clue.
You’re up, @RivkahChaya !

Lots of really good ones; too many runners up to list them all, but I spent some time making up my mind.
I finally decided on this:
Part of castling cohort
Like the chess reference; like the fact that if I didn’t already know the answer, I probably wouldn’t get it until I had at least one letter, and then I’d feel really stupid.
