Crushingly Disappointed AGAIN!

It is now the 31st of January 2003 and I still don’t have a diary :frowning: Well technically I have a diary its just missing all the refill pages for 2003.

I ordered the refills last year from our usual stationery supplier for some reason the delivery got delayed over Christmas and so I didn’t get it until mid January. The pages were the wrong size, so I promptly returned then asking for the right size.

Second delivery arrives – exactly the same as the first. I call them up explain the problem and they say to send a page from the old diary in with my order. Sounds reasonable so I send it all back to them with a page from my old diary.

Third delivery arrives – over a month and a half after I had placed my original order and well over a week from when I sent the second delivery back. Finally I think, they’ve had trouble sourcing the right stock but now it is here. I eagerly open the box, anticipating the moment I can start to write in my nice fresh diary pages, only, its not, it can’t be…. Noooooo they are exactly the same as the first two orders that were wrong!!!

I think I’m going to cry :frowning: I just want pages for my diary.

Ahhh well seems like a little visit in person might be in order. Lets see how you cope with a teary pregnant lady who has been Crushingly Disappointed Mr. ‘Anything I Can Do To Help You’ Office Supply Salesman!!!

I didn’t want you to be crushinly disappointed that no one responded to your thread. So, here comes the sympathy…

oh goodness, there may be trouble ahead. many of the 2003 items are out of stock now. not to be reprinted. i hope your pages aren’t one of them.

 Nooooooooooooooooooooo

  • :: leechbabe runs screaming from the room in horror at the thought of not having a diary in 2003. :: *

What prevents you from using a regular notebook and writing in the dates?

But then I wont have nice crisp pre-printed pages that fit into my little leather book :frowning:

I was counting on it to fulfill my 2003 stationery fetish.

Speaking as a customer service representative that handles problems exactly like this daily, I may have some advice for you, leechbabe. I think you should call them again. Be very nice. Be understanding and apologetic that you’re bothering them. But bother them. Immediately get the name of the person you’re talking to about your problem (even if they say it clearly when they answer the phone – ask again.) and get someone to take personal responsibility for fixing the problem. Explain it very slowly. Explain it again, even if they got it the first time. Explain it until they repeat back to you exactly what you need. Highlight the difference between what you have and what you want.

Then ask for the name of the president of the company. Somebody that’s in charge that’s outside whatever customer service department they’ve got. Ask for this person’s phone number, email address if applicable, and mailing address if that’s all you can get (you can mention to the CSR you’re talking to that they personally were very nice, and very helpful, but that you’d like to contact someone in charge nonetheless). And leave a voicemail, email, or write a letter to that person that is very nice and understanding, and specifically complimenting whoever you last talked to at the company, but that explains that if they can’t solve this problem that they themselves created, you don’t anticipate doing business with that company in the future. And then don’t, if it comes to that.

This, in my opinion and experience, is close to the course of action that is most likely to get you what you want.

OR… you could simply tell 'em to go fuck themselves.

Oops. Thought we were in the Pit there. Apologies.

TLD you gotta watch where you put those jackboots :stuck_out_tongue: BTW have you found any other clothes to wear with them yet?

Thanks for the advice White Lightning I’ll give them one more go as you have suggested but if they screw up again I’m going to find a new stationery supplier.
