CSI: Bad to the Bone Questions

Thanks to the magic of DVR, I just watched the Bad to the Bone episode of CSI that originally aired on April 1st, and I have two questions:

  1. Is there any medical explanation for what Walter was experiencing (higher than normal body tempurature, continuous rage)? They said it wasn’t drugs or anything and if they did mention an explanation, I missed it.

  2. What was the signifigance of the ending scene, after they’re done interviewing Walter’s sister? Grissom walks down the halls of CSI in semi-slow motion, reading a folder and enters the room where all of Walter’s stuff is. He then opens one of the sealed bags, pulls out a white shirt with blood on it, and begins to examine it. Cue credits.

This is the episode that no one could understand. Maybe we’ll see a continuation. That’s what I thought the white shirt pointed to: another of his victims. But they probably just showed that in a pat ‘we’ll never get to the bottom of his madness’ way.

Sounds like symptoms of the “rage” disease featured in the movie 28 Days Later. Did they find anyone else exhibiting the same symptoms.

Anyhoo…

my Mom thought it was a to be continued… but I was thinking they would’ve said to be continued then.
