I made the mistake of looking up the website featured on CSI: NY.
I may not watch next week!
Warning, this is a flash site!!

Wow. Desperation.
I immediately went to check what was there, too, but it took so long to load that by the time it started I had the TV window maximized again and was well into The Daily Show. When the heartbeat noise started, it coincided with the start of footage of Scott McClellan’s resignation announcement, and I thought it was a gag added for effect. Worked perfectly, too. Then the thrash started up and I wondered what the hell they were doing. It wasn’t until the cheeseball “On April xxrd, CSI: NEW YORK will Raaaaaawk!” that I clued in and quickly switched over to my browser and shut the offending window. I didn’t register Kid Rock, being mainly concerned with not missing any of The Daily Show.
Now that I’ve seen it, I don’t know what to say. CSI: New York is my least favourite flavour of CSI, but I came away with a relatively favourable impression of last night’s episode, apart from the weird bookends with Bonasera. Then that last intrigued me. “Oooh! Probable web goodies!” That wasn’t no www.whatbadgerseat.com, though.
Kid Rock? For the love of god, why?
I’m very nearly positive that somewhere between production and marketing, the intended content on that site changed drastically. Cool: Simple, unadorned, suggestive-but-obviously-not explicit cam footage of Bonasera in bed with her “perfect” guy. You know, what she supposedly saw when she followed the link, and nothing else.
That would make me want to watch next week. Instead, they put crap up there that seems engineered to drive people away from the show. Someone should get fired, and before they do, the writer who came up with the idea in the first place should put their eye out with a mechanical pencil and staple their genitals together.
Kid Rock does make for a good “Dog: The Bounty Hunter” look alike :D.
