I disagree. I’m from Connecticut and the time was an hour slow. I had to set it ahead one hour for it to be correct.

Ah well, just thought I’d point it out.

This board defaults to Central Time because it is located in Chicago (you know, that little spot in the road just south of Wisconsin). I’ve set it to GMT -7 (Central -1) because I’m on Mountain Time. (Derleth, one of the few anal enough to know his displacement from GMT.)

sk8rixtx, let me introduce you to that arcane concept known as a “joke.”

Humor.

Satire.

It’s a joke, son. Take some of what we say with not only a grain but a box of salt . . . and hopefully, a laugh.

I bet next you’ll tell us “Greenwich Mean Time” means Greenwich, Connecticut.

GMT doesn’t mean Greenwich, CT?

And the world revolves around you too, Galileo?

Let’s face it, guys–there is The One True Time Zone, and there are lesser time zones. Connecticut happens to be in The One True Time Zone, for which Connecticutters should be properly grateful. Chicago, alas, lags an hour behind The One True Time Zone. They should be pittied for this, not made fun of.

It’s the dread Eastern Time Zone cabal!

Not to be too fussy, but my American Heritage Unabridged Dictionary of the American Language
says:

**CST,C.S.T **Central Standard Time
**CT **Connecticut
**C.T. **Central Time
**ct. **1) cent 2) certificate 3) count
**Ct. **1) Connecticut (unofficial) 2) Count (title)

Hope this makes everyone happy

But it’s still Central Daylight Time in Chicago right now, so I guess the joke’s on us.
