Culinary updates.

Recent discoveries made in my very own kitchen:

  1. Vanilla coke with anise flavor is yummy.

  2. Vanilla coke with cinnamon flavor is yummy.

  3. Vanilla coke with peppermint and anise flavor is yummy, too.

I have yet to try regular coke with anise, cinnamon, or peppermint flavors. But I’d bet they’re yummy. Any of the above combinations with a good vanilla ice cream (think Ben and Jerry’s or Edy’s Dreamery) would probably be quite tasty, too.

Yes, I know–this is very mundane and pointless. But I felt I had to share, if only to add a little gustatory delight to someone’s day.

More recent culinary discoveries:

Homemade full-fat yogurt, drained in a cheesecloth until it gets as thick as ricotta, is mind-blowingly yummy with a big spoonful of honey drizzled on top – infinitely preferable to the sugary-fruity overpriced supermarket stuff.

Sounds very yummy, pugluvr. I have a recipe for homemade yogurt, but I haven’t tried it yet. I’m such a slacker.

But I can say, from experience, that homemade paneer is pretty good. I bet it’d be pretty good with honey, too. I haven’t tried that yet; I’ll give it a shot soon.
