Maybe this is the place for this. Can somebody explain to me the appeal of Ferris Buehler? I saw half of it last night because it came on TV and I thought maybe I should finally see what it was about. Only half because it was so incredibly dumb. Is there something there that I’m not getting, or are my kids right and I’m just not that cool?

Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Sopranos (saw 2 episodes)

Lost
Babylon 5
American Idol
Big Brother
Deal or No Deal
Gray’s Anatomy
Desperate Housewives
Scrubs
2 1/2 Men
Will & Grace
Freaks & Geeks
CSI
Monk (I’d like to see this one, though. Unfortunately, my video store only has it in dubbed VHS)
Supernatural
The Office
Lois & Clark
Heroes
99% of my knowledge of these shows is through SDMB, so my impression of what’s mainstream vs what’s cult may be skewed.

Also:
My only console game system is a PlayStation 1, which hasn’t been plugged in for three years. No PS2, PS3, Xbox, Wii or DS
I haven’t played GTA since it was a cartoon-y top-down PC game
Not into MMORPGs, so no WoW, Everquest, or Galaxies.

Mine’s an SNES. I also have a few of those one-piece, plug-the-controller-directly-into-the-TV ones that have old Activision and Atari games on them. 'Sall I need.
