Does anyone know anything about eyestrain? I looked on google, but all the pages were either about preventing it, or they were ads from doctors. I tried putting teabags on my eye, but it doesn’t help. Does it just go away on its own, or should I be worried? Money is a bit tight right now (just finished buying textbooks for the semester) and I don’t want to go to the doctor just to be told to go home and use teabags, but I don’t want it to get worse either.
I’ve been getting eyestrain headaches from being at the computer so much. What I’ve found helps (if this is at all what you’re talking about), is to stop doing close up work - tv, computer, reading. Go look at things far away, as far away as you can. Go outside and look down the street, or out the window. Find the horizon, if you can.
Somehow, that distance helps my eyes readjust themselves. The ache goes away within half an hour or so.
