I was woken up this morning (as I am every Tuesday) to the sounds of the groundscrew for our complex cutting lawns, trimming trees and blowing leaves. They start at 7 (as is legal in our city according to noise ordinances) and I don’t get up until 8:30. You know what? That’s life.
People on the weekends when I am trying to sleep in will be using power tools or chatting starting at about 8 am. Again, that’s life.
When there are kids out playing and I’d like to take a nap, given that the playground is right behind our house, even if they are merely talking at reasonable levels, I won’t be able to without closing all my windows and putting on a white noise machine (I hate earplugs, can’t sleep in them).
That is the price I pay for living in a densly populated area.
Does no one allegedly raising children having any concept of teaching them civil behavior and community responsibility? I’ve raised several kids and they are all productive, well-behaved, responsible citizens, not delinquents or criminals. I can’t say this about many of the other brats I encounter.

If it weren’t for the fact that my next door neighbor is a Norwegian I’d wonder if she were her. Last week it was 90 degrees. So my daughter gets home from school and announces she’s hot. We go hang out in the backyard playing a game to see who can get other more wet. My daughter was laughing. Crazy neighbor sees us, gives us a dirty look and immediately gets out her fucking leaf blower. She walks it back and forth in her backyard as we’re outside having fun.

ZPGZealot - Noise is not a physical assault. Noise is not a violation of your Constitutional rights. Noise is not an excuse to physically attack someone, whether that someone is the parent of a child making the noise, or the child making the noise. Noise is not an excuse to seriously discuss using other people as attack dogs, as you stated in your original whackadoo post.
There’s really no way you can swing this so that you look normal and sane to anyone other than your equally-bugfucking-insane neighbors, so just rest assured that the rest of the world knows that you’re a fucking lunatic not because of your culture, or because of your socio-economic status, or any other demographic excuse you want to use, but because you are actually insane. That is a pack of lies. They were both the same age. He was under the age of consent, so any penetrative sexual activity he could not legally consent to. He did not take any photos of her that I, my attorney, or any investigating body could find probably because he had been severely punished and warned about making such a stupid mistake. She did however send nude photos of breasts and a vagina (I don’t know if they were hers, but probability leans toward that) to him. All of which was handed over to the police by our family’s lawyer. All of which became very useful when a few weeks later her father tried to claim my nephew assaulted his little princess brat. What the police and the prosecutor wish to do with the photos obtained from the laptop and the anything they can salvage from the remains of the cell, I have not heard.
And she was under the age of consent too, making him a rapist. And okay, he (maybe) didn’t take pictures of her, he was just in possession of child pornography. Wow, that’s so much better.

I have taught the children in my care:
1.) When the police cannot help you, the community has to help itself. This is not a thing to done lightly and should be thought over and discussed. However it is morally wrong, to let one person ruin the lives of many others.
2.) You have a right to compensated for the work you do.
3.) If someone lies about something as important as who their mother and father are, they probably can’t be trusted with anything. And it’s wrong to steal children (though that’s getting into another thread topic)
Okay, so excessive noise is more violent and hostile than robbery, shaking a woman’s hand is the equivalent of sexual assault, and killing an unmarried pregnant woman who is seeking child support from the killer should be considered justifiable homicide.
