From time to time a Doper in a bad situation does a fundraiser–GoFundMe, etc.
I imagine a number are still currently active.
It’s possible there are some Dopers who might wish to contribute now because they are in the Christmas spirit.
So if anyone is doing such a fundraiser or knows of one he/she might post a comment as well as a link to the relevant Straight Dope thread.
