Custom printed gaming cards

I have invented a card game which requires a specialized deck of cards and I want to print some up in order to start testing the game.

I could just put some Avery cardstock in the ol’ inkjet, but they wouldn’t have the smooth, sliding-around quality of a new pack of Bicycles. I want them to feel like real playing-cards so they can be easily manipulated in human hands. Where can I get that kind of paper (and can I print on it with an inkjet?) Or is there some kind fo special coating I can use?

Use Google to locate sources for printing by inkjet or other processes.

TONS of game designers there as well as good info on where to find stuff to make your own games.

Thanks, Auntbeast. Following some discussions there led me to these which I think will be sufficient for my purposes. Cool.

At Thanksgiving I had stated it was too bad blank card stock wasn’t available so you could print a custom deck. I had to see if it was available when I read this thread. I don’t want to print a deck now, but it’s nice to know.

That looks like fun. I’ve always wanted cards with custom face cards for fun and profit. Imagine selling decks at the political conventions, with the regular cast of suspects on the honors and joker.

I think if you wanted to make enough to sell you’d be better off going to a professional printer. Those inkjet cartridges are expensive!

No, I was thinking of one custom deck. for personal use.
