Custom titles now available!

It’s a quote

Ed sez:

Count me in!

Count me in. You take Guyanese currency, right?

If you are BANNED then you are BANNED. :dubious:

Wow, I might reup just to have one.

Indeed – do you?

Do it.

I love it when a plan, in this case one that can cause a “newbie” (their term, not mine) to pay to join, comes together.

Sid, spend more time in GD or other places I hang out. We need more wiseasses.

Welcome, Sidney! Is your last name pronounced like the stadium at Alburn or the river?

Fun idea, by the way. I may have to get in on this.

I mean that there’s a blank line between the custom title and the word Moderator. It is not there for you Administrators, so I assume it is a goof.

I also think it’s a bit of a goof not to allow Charter Members (who are your most loyal customers) to have two lines. There was a big kurfluffle back when we left pay-to-post about how important that extra title is to them.

Jerry (or who ever else does the tech) seems to be rather swamped, so I can’t think he’d want to come to fix something as trivial as the first part. But the second part, since it might mean less revenue, might warrant a look.

FWLIW, I don’t see a white line between the custom title and the Mod title (or the admin or the SDSAB). Chrome on 7.

It’s intentional. We’re just playing around with two different looks, one with a blank line and one without. Some of us have the one, and some have the other. We’ll eventually all have the same look.

This is a valid point, and it was considered, but making it work would require installing a hack. No existing hack meets our needs quite right.

The other thing with having two lines is that it can take away from the humor of the custom title. In the case of my custom title it actually adds to the humor, but in most cases it takes away from it. I would have preferred to not display Administrator at all, but that would lead to confusion when moderating.

Charter Members are free to switch between their custom title and the title of Charter Member at any time, and as often as they like, for the duration of their custom title subscription. Additionally, they continue to have the advantage of a life-time discounted member subscription, and the knowledge that they will always be, in their heart of hearts, Charter Members

Yeah me too.

Except, in some meta joke that even I don’t understand, I might make mine “guest”.

I’m afraid that you cannot change your title to any of the standard titles we already have.

How about Gust? Geist? That’s actually kind of funny. :stuck_out_tongue:

Or “Ghost”

Or, if you’re a gigolo: “Chartered Member”

Or a cartographer: Charted Member"
