What between a market day and a fair-day, it should be possible to induce the good Fundin to take enough drink to render him quite convivial. I’ll stock up on beer money and hie me to the Plough straight away.
If you see yon stable-lad and odd-job-boy, tell him where to find me, friends.
Ah, he ‘did too much tunnelling with his helmet off’. I see . Just point him out, his kind and mine get on famously and it’ll make a nice change for him after being surrounded by biggers all the time.
Aciryas is taking Hans to the Old Plough to meet Fundin. (He asks if anyone else wants a drink.)
Marian is thanking Cullen and Cadogan for their support and asking what she should do next.
Gawain is disturbed that Sir Guy is due back in the Temple after lunch and asks Crumlin to take him to Edith to report.
Suddenly a strange feeling simultaneously strikes Salazar, Hans and Cadogan. They all snap to attention and start looking round the room.
Crumlin is struck by the way they are all behaving. He asks them what’s going on.
All three reply “Someone is watching us!”
“Certainly about anything important.” Salazar nods, then gives a rude gesture to the air in general. Suddenly, it’s as if he’s back to his old, vacant self, staring somewhat absorbedly into space.
Why don’t we all retire to the tavern? We can continue talking there… more privately. There is something to be said for the shelter of hidding in plain sight.
The same feeling of being watched continues to affect Salazar, Hans and Cadogan.
Suddenly **Salazar ** points upwards.
“Look - what’s that?!”
There is a vaguely spherical-shaped shimmering just below the ceiling.
Salazar fails a SPELLCRAFT roll.
He says “I think I should know what that is - I’m sure I heard about it before…”
He mutters to the others “This is a scrying, done typically through a Crystal Ball. A Magic User is the most likely (though others can do this). One amongst us is being targeted…”
