The rest of the party notice Osvald jump - as if in response to a chuckle that only he heard.
Would it be appropriate for either you or Appleciders to list Ivar’s extra spells?
(I’m concerned about avoiding confusion.)
P.S. Is Jorund still injured?
“Osvald tea good . . . Me ready for bed tmmorow last long” Jorund gets up and since his bed roll is on the ship heads that way.Hey if Jorund is doing something stupid make sure to tell him. Not to mention keeping him out of the mead he’s just looking at the moment
Jorund took only 2hp. With a comfy bed and a Rune-Priest to look him over, he’ll have slept that off by sun-up.
If **Appleciders ** wants to list his spells for discussion that’s fine by me.
Ulf always keeps a benevolent eye on his Berserker buddy. They will usually be found together in combat (well, within 11 feet ).
If Osvald really did think he heard something, he’d like to consider carefully:
- was that a sign from Kim?
- how can he offer Kim a chance to communicate further?
Ivar,
Ulf would love to know what spells you typically have available (including your Orisons).
He’ll have to mull those questions over for himself. But a voice that can whisper in a man’s ear out of the thin air is likely to find its own way of making itself heard.
Well it looks like we kinda worked our way into a corner. Is it morning? Jorund grabs a rod and heads down to the coast to catch some fish but brings along a small cask to keep himself company if the fish aren’t biting
I’ll post again later and get this plot moving some more.

Sorry, I’ve had a busy weekend.
This is fantastic.
As I’ve said, you are our only Rune-Priest, so I trust you will focus largely on healing. With two unarmoured Berserkers, your spells will not be wasted!
Bjarni wanted to know if the Herald had ever heard of Kim.
(Osvald will bring another cup of tea to charm the Herald. )
Ulf suggests we ask Rolf Red-Beard and Henrik Larsen to join us.
Unless Kim decides to show himself, Ulf is then turning in for the night.
Big day tomorrow as we set off into the unknown!
Edited to add: “Osvald will also head to bed to rest himself up EVENTUALLY
(didn’t see the previous post) He’ll first deal with the Herald.”
(and get to load up on his spells again) Ruminate on paying better attention to the other voices now in his head other than himself. At least his own voice will have company!
Also, he is quite pleased with Henrik’s behavior during the Tea Ceremony. Perhaps he will make an excellent Bodyguard and be willing to listen to Osvald babble onwards about anything and everything (Poor guy ) in the journey to come.
I will Email you my spell list to load up
Before morning, Ivar will cast all his healing spells on the berserkers and Bjarni, just to make sure.
In the morning, Ivar will load:
O: 1xTorchlight, 4xCure Minor Wounds
1: 1xBless, 4xCure Light Wounds
2: 2xCure Moderate Wounds
Jorund thanks you immensely
Welcome back - I hope you approve of my posts for Osvald!
But please let us know what spells you load - it really helps us play better as a team: (e.g. you conjure something and we attack it by mistake.)
Ulf: If you take Henrik as a Bodyguard, how about Redbeard for Ivar.
Is that OK with everyone?
Ulf thanks you too!
(Hope you like Redbeard as your bodyguard too!)
Ivar, Cure Moderate is 3rd level, and you should have five 2nd level spells - please check your list again.
There seems to be nothing more to find out at the Settlement, and the next day dawns showery but soon clearing with a fresh breeze for sailing. The herald’s party pack up and move off - they weren’t here to socialise. (They knew nothing about Kim. The herald already remarked that it is a foreign name.)
With Black Snake loaded and ready, and eighteen thralls chosen for crew, you put her into the water and slip off down the fjord. Behind you, the early morning sun clears the low cloud, and a bright rainbow appears, seeming to span the fjord in front of you as though it were a bridge you must sail under.
Time passes with little incident. Although you are unable to trade in Viking waters, the Jarl’s mandate doesn’t run all the world wide or anything like it. You are now off the southern English coast and there is a port you know quite well in the land of the South Saxons. At the moment your respective nations are at peace and you could exchange some of your salt/smoked fish and whale oil for wool, which is the major trade good here. You could also get something to eat here other than preserved fish or fresh fish, both of which are none the worse for a change. (Ivar can create food and you can live on it indefinitely, but it gets mighty dull very quickly.)
“Me row all day and no get tired . . . but find where go if land? . . . and Ivar make no good mead, me find good . . . try all”
