Aren’t they just pushing the movie he made about 2 or 3 years ago is there actually a new one?

I was called “Ali G Indahouse

I’d never seen or heard of it before and was on the fence about buying it. The Jerky Boys tapes cracked me up but their movie was dumb on parade. I figured Da Ali G movie could go the same way. Half the fun of Ali G is his interaction with “real” people, something this movie would lack.

That said, Sasha is a pretty funny guy and perhaps could write a great script.

I’m interested to hear from people who’ve seen this.

I came across his book recently “Da Gospel according to Ali G.”

The movie was awful, awful, awful. It starts out OK, but… oh, was it awful. If you like poop jokes, bestiality jokes, and jokes at the expense of gay and fat people, you might like it. But, even though I do like some tasteless, stupid things I hated it. Oh, how I hated it! Oh, it was bad!

I don’t doubt that Sasha could write a good script, but he hasn’t here. I love Da Ali G. show, but the movie is a stinker. Don’t buy it.

Words of caution to be sure. Anyone else see this one?

Have you checked out the customer reviews for the DVD on Amazon? They aren’t too enthusiastic, either. And there are way too many used DVD-s on sale there, which is always a bad sign.

Well if you took the time to master “Da Ali G speak” I think you will probably enjoy the movie. Its not as bad as some people draw it out to be, just too silly at times. It delivers a couple of absolute Ali G classics and is worth it just because of them; the rest of it is so-so not too bad but not too good.

Restecpa (watch the movie you’ll get it)

I had a couple laughs, but overall, that movie was really shitty. I wouldn’t spend cash on the dvd. While his show can reduce me to painful bouts of laughter, the movie was like and episode of Full House that goes on for an hour and a half, and has a guy making poop jokes.

Another vote for “Love the show, the movie sucks”

Unlike the HBO show, this movie was made in England and for England. I saw it with my (English) girlfriend when I was over there, and as an american, I would say it is harder to follow than the show you see on HBO.

I didn’t have any problems following it, I just didnt think it was funny.

When I was baby sitting my cousin we went to see it. This was a couple of years ago, but I remember that we both really enjoyed it.
