Thank You For Smoking. It was funny and intelligent, with good acting and a good soundtrack. It’s too bad it was largely ignored.
I see a pattern starting to emerge, this is good, it is the type of feedback I wanted, keep it up everyone. And go ahead list more than one.
I had said ‘X-Men III-The Last Stand’- I guess perhaps because this type of action/fantasy/sci-fi type of pictures are usually the genre I enjoy most. When you are paying the big bucks for a theatre ticket, you want to have big budget stories, cast, and special effects.
On a cerebral level, your choice of “The Inside Man” would also be me favorite, from this year and perhaps going back quite a few years. It was terrific and what a musical score…Spike Lee’s best work to date, In my Humble Opinion.
Fubsy
V for Vendetta.
I was very disappointed with Superman Returns.
I don’t think it was ‘The Incredibles’ although this was a great movie in the computer animation genre, along with elements of fantasy/sci-fi etc. But this movie was out a few years ago and I doubt it was seen in the theatres this year. The movie (out this year) about Cars and animated was simply called “Cars”.
Along with the voices of George Carlin and John Ratzenberger, it also starred the voices of Owen Wilson as ‘Lightning McQueen’, and Paul Newman as ‘Doc Hudson’ .
Fubsy.
I’m pretty sure that you’ve been whooshed, fubsy.
I loved V for Vendettaa and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
Was Sin City rereleased theatricaly with a directors cut this year?
Off-hand, the top 5: Lady Vengeance, Inside Man, Duck Season, Brick, Dave Chappelle’s Block Party
Inside Man.
I think V For Vendetta edged out Lucky Number Slevin for me, but I loved them both.
BTW, Sin City and Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang both came out in 2005 (at least here in the States).
