Daft Hamburger Confections You Would Consider Offering to a Conservative Burger Friend

Yes, they cut off my head…but that Dr. Gogol…he put it BACK.

Thanks for all the neat replies, people. I’ve got to do the fried egg thing. Is the yolk supposed to goosh out all over your hands when you bite into the burger, or should I go the “over medium” route?

They also work amazingly well on a grilled Italian sausage on a toasted brat bun.

two jars from Amazon:Mancini Peppers

As a resident of da foist-rate boohrow of Brooklyn, I plan on frying that egg in chicken fat.

We have a local place called Big Orange. I’ve not had a burger of theirs, yet, that wasn’t delicious, but my absolute favorite is the White Truffle and Pecorino (Pecorino Cheese, Arugula, Fig Jam, White Truffle, and Mayo)! The Maytag Blue is a close second.

I went to a diner last year where the special was a pulled pork reuben, which was really good.

I like the runny yolk; sorta like a special sauce effect.

I wholeheartedly agree, but as I re-experienced at this local SFL chain last night (OneBurger-menu), it’s damn near impossible to keep the slices on the burger when you bite into it.

I can’t remember what this burger was called, other than my favorite.

Grilled onions
Grilled mushrooms
Swiss cheese
Sour cream
Toasted bun

Maybe not fancy or exotic enough for this thread, but I could eat those all day!!

The Grand Slam burger at Denny’s has a fried egg, hash browns, bacon and nacho cheese on it. It’s not bad as far as Denny’s goes. I wouldn’t say it’s the best, but I would recommend it to a “conservative burger friend”. I have yet to make a version of this at home, but I’m sure it would be much better than Denny’s.

Too much stuff.

Over medium, but still pretty soft. That + bacon on your burger, and you got something there.

Damn if I can remember where but I had one with fresh ground beef, bacon and a slab (not slice) of heavily maple flavored cheese. Simple but rich.
