Daily Intake of Chlorophyl

An herbalist recently told a business associated that she should take chlorophyl on a daily basis. Why, I have no idea. How much, I know not either.

My question is: are there any studies showing this to be dangerous? Frankly, I’ve got big doubts about herbalists.

As in like eating green plants every day? That wouldn’t hurt you.

If it was highly concentrated chlorophyll and she was taking pounds of it, I might be concerned. But I don’t know of any studies on the subject one way or the other.

He meant it as a joke because too much chlorophyl will make the melinen in your skin turn green

Just kiddin’! I think he was thinking about the fiber and cellulose intake, and not chlorophyl. Hes probobly just mixed up cause he associates greens with both things.

Im not aware of any studies about this, so I could be wrong. You’ll hafta ask him what he expects it would do for her.

Chlorophyl is used as a natural deodorizer for the body, it’s sometimes given to colostomy patients to cut down on the smell from the colostomy bag. I don’t know of any other health related uses for it.
