You read the reviews, you see a trailer or two and you hype yourself up to see a movie…and they ruin it.
My personal remake candidate would have to be “The Truman Show”. What a premise !!!

Waterworld comes to mind. The concept was great: the earth has been flooded and everyone lives on boats or floating settlements. Unfortunately, the writing sucked. I think there was maybe one decent line in the entire movie.
I just watched Magnolia with Tom Cruise. I loved the movie, except I could have gone behind the writer and director and given the rest of tha characters some closure. I hate hanging off the edge not knowing what happened to them.
One that springs to mind is Johnny Mnemonic. The story was the proper screenplay, and would have worked beautifully with hardly any changes.
Three words: Dungeons and Draogns. Or is that five words, 10, eleven. Oh damn I don’t know. Eighteen.
