Well, I urned 83 on 8/10. Was so depressed that only now getting around to posting. :D.
I keep hoping that some doddering old fart here is older than me, but that seems unlikely.
I am probably going to give up the SDMB when I hit 100.

Seriously I am just back from holiday in the true north and we were all put to shame by an energetic, active 82 yr old. Has been on dialysis for like 8 years, 4 hrs, 3 times a week, still makes it to the north for the summer weekends. She was out walking bush trails and inner tubing with her grand daughter.
As long as your brain’s still sharp, like yours, I say post till you’re 105!

Congrats. Also: now that you’re old and falling apart, is there any sin you’d like to commit that you’ve previously abstained from because of health reasons? (For instance, pick up smoking?)

I was feeling old on my birthday a few days ago, but you’ve made me feel a lot better! Don’t leave the board! When people make fun of me, I can always tell them “well at least I’m not as old as KondikeGeoff!”

Happy belated birthday KlondikeGeoff! I’ve tried to get one of my friend’s father to join up because he’s got stories about bein’ a pilot in WWII you would not believe. He’s 88. He says he won’t because if he spends anymore time on the computer than he does now his wife will make sure he doesn’t make it to 89. I’ve shown him some stuff that piqued his interest so, there may be hope for a doper older than you yet.
