I’ve been sick for about a week now…so far has seemed like usual flu symptoms, though heavier on the coughing and the fevers have been lower and don’t last long. For a few days I was also experiencing shortness of breath, but that passed - I think I might have had some pneumonia and got over it (it’s happened to me before).
There have been some unusual elements to it, though. A few days ago my testicles were sore and very sensitive, but only for a few minutes, a couple of different times. If the soreness persisted I would have gone to a doctor, it was bad enough, but since it went away I blew it off as some general flu-related swelling of the glands. And just now, I was sitting here in my chair and I felt like I had to pass some gas. I cautiously apply a little pressure to the gas (cautiously because I have that weird feeling inside like I might have diarrhea) and suddenly I get a sharp, stabbing, almost electric-feeling pain in my pelvis, above my ball and tackle, about where I’d imagine my bladder is. It lasted several seconds, and then I passed the gas and it went away.
What the hell? I thought maybe my prostate is swollen or something, but I have no difficulty or discomfort urinating, which I am fairly sure is one of the first symptoms of a swollen prostate, and besides, it seems to be in the wrong place (I’ve been to a proctologist before and know where it’s at). It almost felt like my bladder was about to burst.
Odd thing is today is the first day since I got sick that I felt halfway human - no fevers or chills, and I actually had an appetite today. Just a new, alarming symptom.
