Damn Vegetarians! All that fibers clogging up your email!

Sorry about the title, but I have to get somebody’s attention. Who, I don’t know, but that title should work.

About two weeks ago I mentioned in a thread (we don’t need a link, thank you,) that my rather aggressive posting stopped me from satisfying my curiosity about vegetarian ethics.

Later that day somebody emailed a very long, thoughtful and concise piece detailing vegetarian ethics.

I tried to respons more several times, including just now, but I get this undeliverable message that comes back five minutes later.

So, somebody went to all that effort, and I can’t even respond.

I thought the piece was very good and worth posting and discussing in GD, and asked if they would do so, or allow me to.

But the email won’t work, and all I did was hit the respond button.

I’m hoping that person will see that and respond, or send me another email address, or post the piece.

Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but I imagine the person won’t see the message if I post it elsewhere and think all their work was wasted.

I’ve tried a number of times to respond without success.

I’d appreciate the board moderators forbearance in allowing this thread to remain open until the issue is resolved.

If you’re not the person, please don’t bother to post here. I’ll bump it once or twice.

I wouldn’t be doing this, but it really is a fantastic piece, much deserving of posting or a response.

Thanks.

I’m thinking that might be me, assuming that you’re talking about what I considered a disjointed outline on the major reasons why people may not eat animal products. I E-mailed you from the account in question, which does receive E-mail each day, and also gave you a private E-mail address in case you can’t get through to the first one. (And now that I think about it, I’m going to confirm that I’m not accidentally filtering out any addresses from your ISP that might catch your mail.)

No - I’m Spartacus!

DeniseV:

Yes I got your second email.

Thank you again.

Would you be willing to post it in GD or give me permission to do so (I won’t be able to do so until next week as I’m moving tomorrow?)

As I said in my second E-mail, I really don’t think it’s up to the standards of a GD post. It was more written as an IMHO - and not really even My Opinion necessarily, more like a list of various reasons as to why someone might not eat meat. It’s been many years since I’ve read much in the way of factual or ethical arguments on the topic, and I wouldn’t feel comfortable debating on it as a result.

I don’t have a copy of what I mailed you. If you do truly wish to discuss it in GD, feel free to post it, but I don’t consider it or myself very much up to the ‘challenge’, so to speak.

I just think very highly of it, and that it should be shared.

I’ll do it next week! Thanks!
