Yeah, him. Sorry, was having a brain freeze when I made that post, and kept coming up with Trent Reznor, which I knew was wrong, but couldn’t come up with the actual name.
Now having Trent on would be interesting though.
I wondered if Maks wasn’t upset because he thought the judges scored his dance lower just so Brandy didn’t run away with it, so they gave him some bullshit reason to mark the dance down. I heard him saying basically that the professional dancers are working really hard to get the best performances they can out of their stars, so it upsets them to get scores that are more to generate tension and story line than because that’s what the dance really deserves.
It doesn’t matter. What matters is that when a judge is telling you why they found your offering less than ideal, you don’t say “Don’t worry about it.”
Right you are. I think they put him in the bottom two to send a little message.
No big surprise about who went home.
If Bristol makes it to the final, I’ll be pissed – not because I don’t like her mother, but because the number of people who do like her mother have voted for her, keeping her in the show when other, better dancers, like Audina, have gone home.
Better get a big bucket twickster.

The Alaskan dance queen is in the semi-final. One step away from a very undeserved final appearance. I hated to see Kurt leave tonight. I rewatched Kyle and Kurts dances from last night. IMHO Kyle clearly out danced him. Last night just wasn’t a good one for Kurt. Not much to say about Bristol except the Mama Grizzly obviously has a lot of friends. At the end of the day, this is really a popularity contest first, and dance contest second. I’m hoping sanity prevails and people don’t vote Bristol into the Final. That just wouldn’t be right.
My TiVo only recorded the results show for some reason this week. Is there anywhere online to see the dances? I’m mainly interested in Jennifer’s…

I loved the kids dancing and playing the piano. They were so adorable.

I prefer when kids do the jive, rather than any of the super-sexy dances (tango, rumba). That can be super oogy.
Even with the jive, I think kids ballroom dancing is something that should be, as a matter of good taste, watched pretty much only by family and close friends. Jive is certainly the best choice if we have to view child ballroom, but even there I find it uncomfortable. The young pianist was impressive, though.
I hate to say it, but I think the only thing that could keep Bristol out of the final is serious injury. And even then, she might get fans voting for her.
But she can’t possibly win – right? right?
No, because the judges have the final say. Thank heavens.
Don’t get me wrong. Bristol has done amazingly well for someone who has no dance background, no apparent athletic ability, and no inherent showmanship. Her movements have been surprisingly good.
But there’s just no one home. Most of the time, the lights aren’t even on.
I think I finally figured out what has been bothering me about Brandy; I think she’s just too lanky for me. Her arms and legs seem just a bit too long, and as a result, she just never looks quite right to me. No reflection on her dance ability, which is obviously quite good. She just looks a little too spidery for me. Plus I am really just not fond of Maks. Tony is twice the dancer he is, and seems to be a much nicer person as well.
I wonder if Maks would agree?
I feel fairly confident that Maks doesn’t think anyone is twice the dancer he is.
On the other hand, I think Maks is well aware that he’s not a nice person, and doesn’t care.
