I’m looking forward to tomorrow night. Fourteen-time world Latin champion Donnie Burns will be a guest judge, and two other former world champions (Shirley Ballas and Luca Baricchi) will be coaching.
Liked the guest-coaches; they seemed to help quite a bit. I do like this part of the season, when all of the bad dancers, and most of the merely so-so dancers, are gone.
This is the first time I’ve voted this season; gave three to Kirstie, because though tonight was not good I am really liking the combination of her and Maks (I predicted disaster there, and I’m tickled to discover how happy I am that I was wrong), and the other three to Ralph, because that was a really good dance.
I enjoyed the more traditional approach this week. The music was appropriate and the guest Pros seemed to help the celebrities a lot. Everyone looked very sharp. Romeo was my pick for the weakest this week. Even his dance was ok.
I’m splitting my votes for Hines and Ralph this week.
Loved the team cha chas.
I wasn’t impressed that Romeo said he missed a day of rehearsal; while unfortunate, that was shifting the blame and when you’re dancing you have no one to blame for yourself. The fact that he wasn’t prepared showed, which is too bad - when he throws himself into something he’s fantastic to watch.
Another board is abuzz about an obscene gesture Mark Ballas made walking away from judges table.
I don’t normally watch his crotch. But, need to rewatch and see if it’s true. Other posters said they checked and saw it.
I’ll be so thankful when Mark’s music career finally leads him away from dwts. his constant mugging and out dancing his partner is getting old.
Have you heard his song? I don’t have high confidence for his music career.
Here you go. It’s at about 6:39. The debate is whether he was jerking off at the judges or rolling imaginary dice.
The show has aired on the East Coast.
Good. Glad to see Kendra go – didn’t care for her, didn’t care for her attitude.
Any guesses at this point for the final three?
Ditto. Kendra was super annoying.
I’m betting on Chelsea/Hines/Alley for the final three.
Wow, That seemed pretty obvious to me. Sort of a universal F.U. gesture. I guess there’s enough ambiguity that he won’t get in trouble.
Well, we beat the clock on Kendra’s hormones by about a week. Glad we don’t have to hear about that on tv again.
I wonder if Romeo will give a full practice effort next week? He said his movie opens this Friday. He’s probably got a lot of interviews booked to promote it. With two dances to learn Romeo can’t afford to miss a day or even part of a day giving movie interviews. I rather have Kendra then someone who’s mind and energies are elsewhere.
Ralph finally caught a break. His 2nd dance next week is the Cha Cha. I bet Karina recycles a lot from this weeks group dance. That gives most of the practice time for the other one. It is fair. Ralph was the odd man out this week because he didn’t know the cha cha. He had to learn it on the fly.
Now we’re down to “whoever goes, it’s gonna hurt” time. Everyone left is good on the dance floor and likable as a cast member.
I’m guessing that Romeo had no idea when he agreed to do the show that he would last this long or want it this much. And now, I’m guessing the opening of his movie and its attendant publicity is going to throw him back into his too-cool-to-live persona. If that happens, I’ll wave goodbye without any pangs (that persona is thoroughly obnoxious), but I hope for the sake of the kid’s personality that it doesn’t. He made such strides in overcoming that this season.
Next week is the insta-dance. It was a favorite of mine last season. I hope this seasons cast copes equally well.
Insta-dance - means the couples don’t know the music until a few minutes before they perform. Last season they got maybe 15 minutes to rehearse to the music.
I still like the insta-dance in theory, but I still think it’s a lot easier on the female celebs than on the male celebs.
Ouch, that seems like it’s going to be unfairly hard on the two older contestants.
And yeah, at this point whoever they send home is gonna be sad
Hines Ward briefly handcuffed.
Hines out at 1AM with an unidentified lady. I sort of thought he had something going with Kym. I guess not. But, they certainly have great chemistry on dwts.
Hines tweeted.
Ralph’s had a very tough week. Karina wasn’t sure Saturday if he’d even dance tonight. It’s still iffy.
I’m trusting that the Doctor gives the ok to dance without risking further injury. This may be a pain management issue like Jennifer dealt with last season. Only worse because Ralph had a cyst rupture.
Missing all four days of practice will have a big impact on his dancing tonight. I’m not expecting very much tonight at all. He may only get 5’s.
I hope Ralph’s fans pull together and vote like crazy tonight. Get him through this one bad week. Then hopefully he can practice and do good next week. I figure if he’s willing to at least try and manage the pain, then I’ll give him a pass for a bad dance tonight. Heck the guy will be performing with almost zero practice time.
I looked up Baker’s cyst on mayoclinic.com, and it sounds painful but probably not likely to risk injuring the knee, unless he also has a cartilage tear or something. I bet he tanks up on painkillers and does just fine.
Ralph’s dropped weight this season. He’s almost too thin now. For a laid back guy he’s got some steel in him. It Took a lot to go out there and dance tonight.
Just like last season, everyone is stepping up their game this insta dance episode. Some of the best dances I’ve seen so far.
Holy smoke. Karina was on fire tonight with that black costume. Black panties suits her tight butt really well.
Following aceplace’s instructions, I gave all my votes to Ralph tonight.
Thanks Twicks.
I usually vote online. But, tonight I’ll give the phone votes a shot too. For this week Ralph all the way.
This will be a tough elimination. I really don’t want to see any of them go. Kristie seems in over her head. She’s obviously over whelmed with two dances a week. Just have to wait and see tomorrow.
