Dancing With the Stars will make your daughters want to grow penises.

Nah, I’m pretty sure the surgery involved in his transition took care of any possible bust.

They had Bristol Palin on last season. And Sarah Palin in no Cher.

I’ve never really considered growing a penis but I have made a considerable number of them grow.

Cite?

When I first saw the thread, I misread the title as “Dancing With the Stars will make your daughters grow penises.”

I think that’s EXcite, Mince..

According to the Amazon review of “Dr.” Ablowjob’s book:

“Glenn Beck and Dr. Keith Ablow—two of the most popular and influential personalities in American media today—have joined forces to present a powerful guide to personal transformation and fulfillment that is as unique as their own unlikely partnership. They are called the “7 Wonders” and they can be used by anyone who has made the decision that they are ready to change their life.”

So stop saying bad things about the “Dr.”; he’s popular AND influential. Apparently, though, there are some limits on how you can change your life. The “Dr.” gets to decide whether your change is ok or not, I guess.

It still sounds like it could be a book about two gay men deciding to raise a son together. Wow, could a naive buyer be in for a shock.

What’s with putting Dr. in quotes? He has a medical degree from Johns Hopkins and completed a residency in psychiatry over twenty years ago.

Perhaps because his constant statements that are in direct conflict with the APA are enough that the poster in question doesn’t believe he’s worthy of that title?

I myself do not understand how he is still practicing. Except that maybe what he says has little to do with how he actually treats patients, which makes ssome ense since his statements are those of a psychologist, while he practices psychiatry. With all the ignorance that usually entails. (A psychologist is better prepared to be a psychiatrist than a psychiatrist is to be a psychologist. Psychiatrists get nowhere near enough psychological training.)

Yup.

Pix, or it didn’t happen.

Out of curiosity, last year when Bristol Palin was one of the ‘celebs,’ did Ablow worry that “‘Dancing with the Stars’ will make your daughters want to have kids out of wedlock”?

You do what to your package?

Do not fold, spindle, or mutilate package

Wow, this just shocks me. I used to read Ablow’s fiction books, WAY back in the late 90’s, and they weren’t bad. Definitely didn’t see this kind of attitude coming from them.

Maybe he had a late-life change of heart. I notice he writes “true-crime” bullshit instead of fiction over the last five years or so.

I can’t believe nobody has suggested settling this with a dance-off.

Never mind!

You know, this sort of argument (which is also bandied about re: gays, gay marriage, Muslims, illegals, atheists, sex ed etc…) never ceases to amaze me. “If teenagers are exposed to it, they might think about it”. Well, yes. And that is a problem how ? Last time I checked, thinking was not a bad thing.
Besides, what’s the alternative, exactly ? Keeping them shut in with hands over their heads and shouting “LALALA, WORLD DOES NOT EXIST” ? When does the blindfold come off, if at all ?

I’ll explain it to you when you’re older.

Should we also expose them to video footage of rape, murder, etc under the same sort of reasoning? Or how about crazy tentacle porn, child-on-puppy porn, and God knows what else. Let’s expose them to EVERYTHING in the world on prime-time TV, because they will find out SOMEDAY won’t they? /sarcasm

Your point is actually a good one. I’m a gay guy myself and I think it’s hillarious that “exposing” children to gays or whatever is a bad thing.
