Heh! An exact replay of what was happening chez twicks!
John and Charlotta were dancing with a sexual overtone.
The other two were damn near having sex with a dancing undertone.
So who wins?
I was having the same conversation at about the same time with the gentleman at my place. It was funny. At first, we were complaining about the audience vote being the tiebreaker since we figured John and Charlotte would finish first with the judges and Kelly and Alex would finish first in the voting. Suddenly we found ourselves hoping that the voting would have John and Charlotte first, forcing a win for them. They were robbed, all right. A coworker of mine who didn’t get to see the last episode asked about it; she couldn’t believe they’d lost either.
The winners didn’t appear on Good Morning America this morning, at least not before I left for work. Other, less pleasant things took priority.

there is just no way that dance warrented a perfect score. Even I could see al of the hesitations and compensating steps Kellie took. The dance didn’t flow smoothly and you could see her visibly gear up and take a deep breath for the nect stunt. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that yet another “reality” show is biased but how can tghey so rub our faces in it?
Did anyone catch Kelly and Alex on Leno tonight? I tuned in just as Leno was finishing the interview. Of course he asked them to dance.
When Alex twirled Kelly off the floor at the end of the dance, she tripped. Leno had to catch her or she would have fallen on her face.
Leno viewers who hadn’t watched Dancing With the Stars are sure to have a high opinion of the show after seeing that.
I’ve been repeatedly stunned that Kelly made it past week three in this competition, because the only dancer more wooden than her was Evander Holyfield, but I knew that she would win every audience competition simply because she’s the only one who’s actually currently on the air. Friggin’ soap opera fans. I have nothing but contempt for 'em.
Anyone who can actually dance knows John and Charlotte kicked ass. They greatly improved their quickstep routine, throwing in plenty of new moves, while the only thing Alec and Kelly did different was fail to lose any of her clothing.
And the freestyle? Don’t get me started. When your partner obviously drops you, you don’t deserve a perfect score.
Bah, this was worse judging than figure skating.
But at least that host guy kept forgetting the mic. That was funny
And because she failed to lose any of her clothing, Kelly actually got a worse score on the samba. 25 instead of the original 26.
Fox’s attempt to cash in on this – So You Think You Can Dance – starts next week (Wednesday 7/20). Dunno if it’s ballroom or MTV stuff – probably the latter.
From what I’ve seen, it looks sort like “Idol” in that you have to do different ‘styles’ of dances each time: hiphop, freestyle, ballroom, whatever.
Hey, beats reruns. Hope they have a less stupid way of scoring, though.
According to this week’s Entertainment Weekly (7/22 issue),
Glad he was classy on-camera about it – but glad he communicated the profound wrongness of his loss also.
Has O’Hurley been interviewed since the show ended?
I’m guessing ABC is keeping him incomunicado (probably under heavy sedation).
Both John & Charlotte and Kelly & Alex were on **Larry King Live ** just after the competition, but I didn’t watch it.
Did anybody see it?
