Dante's Action Hero Mafia

Alas, he’s a cyberphobe.

So, now we have Frank Martin (me), Jack Burton (Mahaloth), Marty Riggs (???) and … (Astral Rejection) vs. Hans, Karl and Theo.

Definitely three scum.

Holy crap! That’s not what we needed…

We went from catching a break to a mis-lynch to all-out disaster. Our illustrious Mod has certainly made this game interesting, I must say, with the various roles and such.
Fact of matter is that, as already mentioned, we need to get this round right, period.
I think we should all post a list of remaining players and our thoughts, as they are now toDay, if we stand any chance at all.

It’s our only hope to tag more than one scum in a row.
With all this new information, I need to go back and look over some things, and will post my list later. I’m going to try to be prompt, so we all have ample time to discuss our choices as well.

Good luck to us all, and sorry to lose you both in that fashion, Mosier and Plum:frowning:

Oy.

If you go back and look at my previous posts, I tried to make it as clear as possible, without making an outright claim, that I am Martin Riggs, Paranoid Gun Owner.

I guess I was too coy. This is the worst turn of events that could possibly have happened.

That’s what I figured, actually. If Mahaloth agrees, and Astral Rejection joins in, then we have a really good chance after all.

I do want to know who else Mahaloth saw in the Night.

Fine.

Night One Prof. Pepperwinkle commuted someone. For some odd reason, I was also told a bit more than this. I was told commuting is removing someone from the Night, kind of like roleblocking. I tried to tell the professor I had done this by mentioning posting during my “commute” the next Day. Look it up. I said that.

Night Two, I watched Sario. He roleblocked. All I was told.

OK?

So Prof. Pepperwinkle’s power is to choose a player, and block any Night actions that target that player? And he chose Astral the first Night, which was a good choice.

Prof. P, out of curiosity, whom did you use your power on during Night 2?

Meanwhile, Sario apparently has a roleblocking ability of some kind as well.

HookerChemical. I thought it was a coin-flip between him and Mosier as to who was going to be killed, and I picked the wrong one.

We should probably lynch Sario next, then.

Good plan.

VOTE SARIO

and VOTE SARIO

VOTE COUNT

Sario -** 2 **(WF Tomba, Prof. Pepperwinkle)
4 votes needed for a lynch. The Day will end on Monday at 7PM EDT.

Play on, players!

No. I don’t want to quote my pm, but basically they can take a player out for one Night and that person can not use their power that Night. It’s basically the same as a roleblock…but perhaps they are also protected or something?

I’m not sure.

Uhh, OK … then there’s a conflict between these two accounts. We need to get this settled if we want to be able to trust each other.

What it is is: I’m a guard who takes a player away each night and stop any action from being taken on them. I also stop my target from doing his own action, if he was doing one.

OK, then how do you know Astral isn’t Karl? If you weren’t told the secret identity of the person you “commuted”, it could have been either the target of the hit or the hit man. All we know for sure is that the hit was thwarted.

VOTE SARIO

I’m vanilla town. I’m a little surprised by the Mosier kill. I was thinking it would be me or Astral, but I guess Astral vindication of Mosier was a factor. We have multiple town claims corroborating evidence, so we have a fighting chance. More analysis coming, but for now, Sario is a solid vote.

It seems that scum have two ways of getting a night kill and we have two ways of blocking/protecting. We have a transporter/commuter who blocks an ability and/or protects a target for a night. We must have something else. I’m not sure it’s necessary to reveal who today if we can get some clarification on Prof P’s ability.

I was really hoping we’d get the cop’s analysis today.

 What makes you think that?

Still trying to make sense of all this, people, and I’m coming up short.

I am in the process of reevaluating our interactions, but there isn’t as much to go on as my earlier game here. And even then I still managed to frak things up until the very end.

For the moment, until I can complete my list (we do have some time, so let’s be thorough), I will VOTE SARIO even at the risk of looking pile-on-ish. The reasoning is sound, to me.

Scum would have no reason to cast the clinch vote. Let’s see if Sario mounts a sensible defense, and hope we might have just caught our first black hat.

vote sario

Ouch. You have a point. I was assuming (foolish of me) that the Scum vote for a target, and that person is killed, and the whole “Karl is the hitman” was literary dressing on Dante’s part. That may well be wrong and Astral could very well be Karl. Pfui.
