Daphne Moon's profession

On Frasier, Daphne was a person who was hired to help Martin after his accident. What exactly was her profession? She wasn’t a physical therapist – home health aide?

Comic foil?

C’mon, I need it for a puzzle clue.

I thought they did refer to her as Martin’s pysical therapist.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure she was a physical therapist/nanny for Marty.

Was she? Okay – I think of that as a degreed job, maybe not.

She was hired to give Martin physical therapy and rehabilitation after he was shot. She was generally introduced as his “home health care worker.”

How many spaces for the clue and what letters do you already have?

Well, at first she was his therapist, but then she sort of became a live-in maid. She did the cooking. cleaning, laundry, etc. long after Martin was able to do these things himself. It seems like Frazier hired her as a maid because they both hated to see her go after Martin no longer needed therapy, but maybe I’m just making that up.

link Just a geocities fanpage for the show, but seems pretty comprehensive.

What’s the clue?

They never called her other than a physical therapist and she always bristled when Frasier implied she was a housekeeper.

On the other hand, Martin clearly didn’t need a live-in physical therapist. John Mahoney never once convinced me that Marty really depended on that cane.

It’s for an acrostic. The answer I need to clue is “Daphne Moon.” Rather than specifically mention the show or another character, I want to clue it “Sitcom XXX” with “XXX” being the name of her profession. Sounds like “physical therapist” is right – thanks for the search, Queen Tonya (heard any good music recently, BTW? :stuck_out_tongue: ) – the first few links I tried weren’t helping.

You’re quite welcome, and why yes, yes I have!

Besides being fascinated in a trainwrecky way by the newness of DOUG-FM on the radio at work, I’m playing the heck out of the CD you sent me, thank you!!

Thanks for your help, everyone!
